A BIRTHDAY CARD FOR MY SISTER

Taking inspiration from this week's creative card crew challenge, I have come up with this card for my sisters birthday in May. I just made it using odds and ends of card and some embossed cream paper that I bought from the works - luckily for me the embossing on the paper matches that of the dress. Both the dress; paper flowers and brads came from the Papermill Shop, and just added a peel off at the bottom.
Won't be submitting it for the Creative Challenge, as the prize this is on offer this week isn't something that I need, so will let others have a chance. I've done it to see if I could follow the sketch. I actually like it so much that I will do a pink themed one for another friends birthday.

FANTASTIC COOKIES!

So after school I made the chocolate chip cookies and 13 made it to cubs! I actually made 22, but for some reason the second batch wouldn't set, so we kept them here, and after OH and sons have been at them there are now only 4 left. Harry came back from cubs to say that all the cookies went in about 10 minutes and one girl liked them so much that she had 3. The whole bring and buy sale made £55.60 so the group are really pleased.

MY VERY FIRST POST

Hi,

Well I have finally got around to creating a blog, which I will use for showing my handmade cards, and other bits and pieces that I do - like yummy chocolate chip cookies, and hampers for peoples birthdays/christmas.

I like to think that all my cards and gifts are well received, and that inspires me to continue making things. Today my mission is to make the yummy chocolate chip cookies, for my oldest son to take to Cubs - it is only his second week, but already we are involved with the activities they do. Tonight they are having a Blue Peter Bring and Buy Sale to raise a bit of money - since they will only be selling things for 10 - 20p it wasn't worth making any cards for it, so thought the cookies would be well received. That is, if there are any left before we get to Cubs!
